Out & About – Archie’s of Celtenham – Dog Cafe

We are lucky that where we live there are quite a few dog friendly places to visit but generally a little drive away so when we learned of a New Dog Focused Cafe opening in Cheltenham we couldn’t have been more excited! So much so we may have popped by a couple of times to say hi and offer our support to Jess and her family. The cafe is actually named after their family dog Archie the Labrador who you may see in the cafe along with his brother Norman the Dachshund.

Archie’s of Cheltenham is situated up at the top end of Montpellier on a lovely street which just happens to be a short walk from where I work!, very convenient indeed. I was lucky enough to go along to their launch party (sadly without Coops as I was actually working that day and popped up in a lunch break) and the excitement from everyone was amazing and rightly so as the shop has been decorated and furnished in such a lovely way it feels so light, airy and modern whilst still feeling cosy like you want a coffee shop to be.

Upstairs you’ll find a wonderful selection of Cakes, Teas, Coffees, Sandwiches, Salads and Ices Creams. When I popped back in a couple of days later with Coops I tried one of their chocolate muffins and can confirm they’re as yummy as they look!

There’s plenty of seating upstairs with tables out the front as well or you can choose to sit downstairs where there are some super comfy sofas where you can really relax and have a good catch up with friends.

Downstairs you’ll also find a gorgeous Dog Boutique with amazing beds and blankets from Ivy & Duke, (I may have treated Coops & I to a new blanket!). Beds, Toys & Acc’s from Mutts & Hounds. Some gorgeous collar and leads from Dogs & Horses as well some other lovely Acc’s from amazing brands.

They also stock a fab range of natural smellies for your pups from Pawnatural & The Dog & I to help keep those country smells at bay.

You can also top up your pups treat jar (or cupboard in Cooper’s case) with treats available from the wonderful Cotswold Raw and Thrive.

What’s really fabulous about Archie’s is the extra details they’ve gone to with Hand sanitisers on every table and a crate of towels at the door for those wet, muddy paws in the winter, or summer, it is England after all.

Another amazing touch is whilst you’re comfy and enjoying your drink and food your dog can be as equally comfy lounging on a Ivy & Duke mat bed of which they have varying sizes available for you to pop down on the floor.

If you’re near to Cheltenham or just fancy a day out I would highly recommend popping in for a tea/coffee and cake. Make sure to pick up your loyalty card to, I’ve already picked up mine and am sure it will be filled up pretty swiftly.

We’d love to know if you’re coming up our way to visit Archie’s so drop us a message on instagram as you never know we could meet up over coffee and cake with our dogs! What could be better? 🐾

Happy adventures,

Fi & Coops xXx
